Favorite Bronzers: Our Top Ten
Bronzers are used for all kinds of fun things. Contouring, shading, and surprise: bronzing! Getting a sun kissed glow is easier than you think. Getting a glow that rivals JLo’s might be tough, but we’re convinced our favorite bronzers will help you get there.
From matte to sparkling, bronzers come in all shapes and sizes. Not to mention color s. Here are our top ten favorite bronzers that will help you achieve the look you want.
Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Benefit has a wide variety of products, but Hoola Bronzer stands out to us. Why? It lasts forever, the color suits almost every skin tone, and it is a matte bronzer. These are always exciting because you can use them to contour, but also to add warmth to your skin. If you are more fair skinned, opt for the new Hoola Bronzer Lite to avoid an orange or muddy tint.
Nars Bronzing Powder in Laguna
This iconic bronzer might be a pretty penny, but it’s worth every single one spent. The color is suitable to create the perfect sun kissed glow and it also works for enhancing already tanned skin. Thanks to the golden shimmer, Laguna Bronzing Powder is great for any skin tone. With buildable coverage, you’re sure to create the perfect look.
Too Faced Soleil Matte Bronzer
Again, there’s no need to gush over how much we love Too Faced. This cocoa-scented bronzer is matte and it comes in three shades. The different shades will help the bronzer stand out against your specific skin tone. For fair skinned ladies, Milk Chocolate might be enough color. For darker beauties, Dark Chocolate will add that just-left-the-beach feel to your skin. Plus, the packaging is cute. Win-win.
The Balm’s Bahama Mama
We’re pretty convinced The Balm doesn’t get enough attention. Their products are highly pigmented, the packaging is fun, and they’re not terribly expensive. Blend this bronzer into your skin and you’ll get a flawless contour or tan enhancing glow. This bronzer is unique and doesn’t carry any of that orange tone.
Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops
Bronzing drops are coming onto the market, but no one does them better than Cover FX. You can customize your glow and choose your finish. There are two matte shades, and a variety of highlighting and bronzing shimmer shades. Our favorite is Sunlight which gives a golden glow. Use your fingers or a damp beauty sponge to apply these drops atop your foundation or blend into bare skin for a sun kissed look.
Rimmel London Natural Bronzer
Drugstore bronzers are notoriously orange. Rimmel does an amazing job with this bronzer though, making sure that it applies smoothly and deposits just the right amount of color. The honey colored bronzer does have a hint of shimmer, but really. What fun is a bronzer without it?
Butter LONDON BronzeClutch True to Form
Um, hello Butter LONDON, take our breath away why don’t you. This trio of bronzers takes care of all your bronzing needs. There’s a bronze shimmery shade, a matte bronzer shade, and a matte contour shade. See? All bronzing needs squared away. The shimmery shade is beautiful, especially when dusted atop the matte bronzer shade. The powders apply like butter (bad joke…) and help your skin look vibrant and healthy.
Hourglass Ambient Bronzer
Another luxe product, the Ambient Bronzer adds 3D color to your face. While looking natural, the pigmentation in this bronzer is subtle but striking on the skin. The radiant finish of this bronzer adds life to your skin, emphasizing your best features while being completely blendable.
Physician’s Formula Bronze Booster Glow-Boosting Airbrushing Veil
Sometimes this brand creates incredible products that fly under the radar. This is absolutely one of them. Blendable, orange-free, scent-free, and nourishing, this bronzer is irresistible. And at $8.99, it’s a steal. The bronzer combines the best of both worlds (powder and cream bronzers) to deliver the perfect glow.
Wet n Wild ColorIcon
This brand is getting more widely renowned for its ability to create low-cost pigmented products. This bronzer is no different! At $3.99, we’re more than happy to use it for all our bronzing needs. It comes in a fair variety of shades so no skin tones will be left out. And it’s available pretty much everywhere from Ulta to Walmart.
