Colorist Approved Hair Colors for 2017
2017 has seen bold makeup, but we’re seeing bold hair too. Hair colors of all kinds have been dyed into beauty babes’ tresses. Gray, Silver, Pink… you name it, it’s been done. However this year, celebrity colorists are telling us that cool tones are out. Swap your platinum out for a soft copper, a warm brown, a buttery blonde, or even a smooth orange tone to update your mane for 2017.
Nikki Lee of Nine Zero One salon mentioned the resurgence of red, too. “The big one this year is going to be red,” she says. Other colorists agree, mentioning light toffee blonde and sunkissed peach hair.
Are you ready for the rainbow hair of 2017?
Much like nude lipstick, naked tones, and neutrals this hair color is stunning. And it’s everywhere. From Gigi Hadid to Ciara, this hair color is perfect on any skin tone. Besides, it matches quite literally everything. Brown eyes, blue eyes, and green eyes alike will pop with this shade. You can color your hair entirely nude, or you can brighten up darker shades with face-framing nude highlights.
Though another blonde shade, baby blonde is pastel while nude blonde is a warm neutral. This is the type of color you really have to commit to, arming yourself with silver shampoos and toning treatments between salon visits. But hey, it’s possible! Check out our post on Celeb Luxury Gem Lites to help you keep this color perfectly pastel.
These babies are radiant, bold, and intense. Don’t let that turn you off, though. Jewel tones can pair incredibly well with different eye colors. Amethyst and rich purples will enhance brown eyes while warming up your skin. Sapphire and deep blues will help baby blue eyes pop. For very dark skin, look towards ruby or garnet hues.
This is a super easy hair color process for lighter hair. Darker haired beauties will need to lighten their hair some before this process, but it’s doable! And it’ll look fabulous.
Bronde (brunette blonde) how we love you so. Rich and warm caramel tones infuse auburn or brunette bases with life and a sun kissed feel. Another trend that includes toffee colored hair is the great baylage or ombre style. Brighten deep brown hair with summer, warm tips. This is a very simple color to maintain, especially as it grows out it can look very natural.
Orange Hues and Reds
So, this one might be pretty out there but with the right colorist and skin tone, you’ll look stunning. A gentle mix of orange and red combined with blonde hair will blow you away. More of a dark haired babe? Think rose gold. For darker skin, a cooler orange tone will brighten up your face and give some life to your features.
As for red hair… think vibrant, shiny, and dimension. Add in some rich toffee to your red locks and your mane will be office or going-out ready.
