Instagram Fitness Fads
Instagram is good fun. You scroll when you’re on line at the grocery store, when you’re in a waiting room. We get fashion ideas from instagram models and unrealistic fitness dreams from the same girls. Have you found yourself wondering if waist trainers work? Will those detox Fit Teas really help flatten your tummy?
Let’s look at the top three instagram fitness fads and check out whether they really work.
The idea of these guys isn’t terrible, at first. All you have to do is fit into a tiny latex corset and it will help cinch your waist? Sign me up. They’re often inexpensive, many popular instagram bloggers or accounts will even offer coupon codes to get these trainers for cheaper.
Supposedly, Kim Kardashian maintains her tiny waist with a waist trainer. Maci Bookout of TeenMom OG does, too. Celebrity endorsements don’t make this trend the healthiest choice, though. If women of decades past stopped wearing corsets, why did we start again? The dangers of waist training aren’t unlike the dangers of wearing a corset. Hurting your rib cage, fainting, eating too little, and squishing your organs are all potential consequences of wearing a waist trainer too much.
Been there, tried this one. Body wraps are really uncomfortable, but here’s the scoop on this fitness trend. The main idea of this fitness fad is to wrap your body parts in saran wrap tighter than last night’s leftovers. The intent is to help your body purge toxins and extra water weight. It might also help you lose weight, however it’s more likely that you’ll loose enough water weight to get dehydrated. Then you’ll regain the water weight in a few days and want to try the process again.
There aren’t any FDA approved salons that will help you lose weight like this. There aren’t any FDA approved body wraps that will help you lose weight in this manner. We think it’s for the best to leave these wraps in the ’80s when they were first used.
Detox Fit Teas
Some of these are actually delicious. Teatoxes, detox teas, or tummy slimming teas are all the rage on Instagram. “I use ABC Teatox to flatten my tummy and get my pre-mom body back,” Says Instagram Model. What she didn’t mention was that this tea has laxative properties, meaning yes it flattened her stomach, but over copious amounts of trips to the rest room. Using them alongside a proper diet and a good fitness routine will surely boost your results.
