Liquid Lipsticks Your Boyfriend Will Thank You For High End Edition
Every lipstick-loving girl has heard these words, “Don’t kiss me with lipstick on.” Excuse us? We worked hard to have the perfect pout. Lots of work goes into luscious lips but luckily for you boys, someone figured the answer out. No, it isn’t “don’t wear lipstick”. The answer is liquid lipstick, of course.
These lippies are all over the place now, it seems. They definitely have a right to be though, because with formulas-a-plenty, there’s a liquid lipstick for everyone. And there’s a liquid lipstick for every budget. What’s sweeter than that? The fact that when you do pick up a drink, eat a snack, or give some sugar your lipstick won’t budge.
Check out our favorite mid-to-high end liquid lipsticks.
1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks
ABH has amazing brow products, that’s for sure. Their high-quality product line has put out liquid lipsticks ($20.00) among other stellar lip products, too. With 33 shades, you’re sure to find a color you love or a color that suits your skin tone perfectly. You’ll probably find your new go-to shade, and if you don’t you’re sure to fill your lipstick drawer with some sassy colors like Sorbet or Carina. If you’re feeling frisky, try on the deep blue Paint. Bonus points if you’ve got some feisty color in your hair.
2. Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick
Stila has managed to stay at the front of the makeup game by creating a liquid lipstick that’s as pigmented as you can imagine. It’s pretty transfer-proof, too. Lightweight and non-drying, Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick ($24.00) is bomb. It definitely isn’t as drying as the Jeffree Star cosmetics or Lime Crime matte liquid lipsticks. Fortunately, this liquid lipstick comes in both shimmer and matte shades. Careful with the shimmer though; you might leave star dust on whatever you put your lips on.
3. Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Long Wear Lipstick
It’s hard not to love everything Too Faced. Their shadows are pigmented and scented (frankly anything scented like chocolate is a plus in our book), their liners are packed with color, and their highlighters are stunning. Naturally, their Melted Matte Lipstick ($21.00) is pretty fabulous too. Their shades border on sepia-tones, meaning that there is a nude in this line for every skin tone. The formula is packed with nutrients for your lips, an indication that your lips won’t dry out or feather with this lipstick. Bonus points for Too Faced for using avocado oil, too.
4. Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick
Kat, may your eyeliner always be perfect and may your lipstick always slay. This range of liquid lipsticks are a cult favorite, from ‘Lolita’ to ‘Bow n Arrow’ they’re usually sold out at Sephora. If you’re lucky enough to get your hands on one, you’ll be happy to know that these lippies glide on like a gloss but dry matte. Every single lipstick loving lady will be satisfied with one of these hues because Kat Von D has created shades like the perfect day-to-day nude and Witch… which is exactly as it sounds. Blackest of black.
5. Tarteist Glossy Lip Paint
This one was a toss up… Nars, or Tarte? Tarte’s formula won because it’s a little glossy and it dries with high-shine. Most liquid lipsticks dry to a matte hue because it’s pretty transfer-proof. But Tarte ups the ante with this glossy lip paint. It has a hint of a plumping effect which you might feel when you apply the liquid lipstick, but rest assured it’ll look fantastic. The product is available in earthy-tones, making it a great daily wear lipstick.
