Stila Just Changed the Game of Glitter
If you love makeup, you probably haven’t grown out of the phase where glitter means everything to you. No? You’re lying, admit it. Glitter and makeup go hand in hand. That’s why when Stila released their Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow, we were more than excited. Ecstatic, even. It’s been tough, being a glitter lover in a world where eye shadow fallout is very real. How do you keep your skin from turning into a cosmic mess? Is it possible to create a sparkle filled look without shedding specks onto your perfectly blended foundation? It’s possible without the use of glue, a setting spray or magic. Yes. Yes, friends, it is.
The mystical glitter liquid eye shadows come in eight magnificent colors. From blending violet with blue to creating a smoky blend of silver, gold and black these shadows are stunning in color. They even come in eight different hues including our favorites Kitten Karma, Violet Vixen and Gold Goddess. Wear them alone, or build up some bold color by pairing it with a colored shadow. Suit yourself and your favorite color palette by snagging one of these glam shadows.
Stila and makeup-wonderland Sephora both describe the liquid eye shadow as “brilliant”. We won’t disagree. The formula might feel wet at first, but rest assured it will dry quickly. There’s no chance of fallout as you build more layers of color. There’s no line-bleeding, there’s no transfer. And there’s no reason to say glitter doesn’t go with everything.
How We’d Wear It
There’s a lot of nonsense out there that might encourage you to wear bold lips by themselves. To wear a dramatic eye look with nude lips. We say that’s wrong!
Since we’re partial to the Gold Goddess, we’ll use that shade. Swipe a light brown or copper toned shadow over your lid. This will prep your lid to really pop once the Gold Goddess glitter liquid eye shadow is applied. Start with one layer of the liquid shadow and let it dry for five seconds before applying more layers. Repeat until your eyes shine so bright they’d light up a room.
This is the perfect time to grab your favorite bronzer (preferably not matte) and dust that in the hollows of your cheeks. Bring the color up towards the top of your ear, and blend! To complete the look, we’d pair this shadow with a copper lipstick, just like Milani’s Matte Amour Lip Creme in Chromattic Addict.
