What’s the Deal With Lush?
Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics make a wide variety of products, but one thing is for sure. They’re always fresh, earth-based, and they don’t test on animals. Sounds like a dream, right? Lush stores are popping up all over the world, ready to make their home in a mall near you. Don’t have a Lush store near you? That’s OK. Ordering online in other countries and areas happens to be available.
So, ready to dive head first into ethically made products? We are!
You’ve definitely heard of Bath Bombs before, right? Other brands are making them now, but Lush is the O.G. Their Bath Bombs come in different colors, scents, shapes, and yes. Different glitters. They’ll explode fragrance in your tub while fizzing everywhere; entertainment for anyone. They’ll change your regular, relaxing bath into some kind of fresh ingredient oasis.
Their Bubble Bars are almost as fun as Bath Bombs. Crumble these bad boys under the faucet as your bath water runs for a “Frothy and fragrant” bath. Plus, they come in cute designs like ladybugs, flowers, and yes. Glitter.
Scrubs, gellies, washes, and more. Lush’s shower products use fresh ingredients and earth-related substances to get your body the cleanest it’ll ever be. Shower smoothies infuse hydration into your skin with Argan oil and coconut oils, while scrub bars get rid of dead skin.
We’re pretty partial to the Shower Jellies. These things are so strange, but they feel amazing on your skin. They’re basically goo that cleans your body when you rub it over your skin. Weird, right? They’re scented too, so you can rub in some good ole essence of earth. Some of them have other good properties, like ‘cool and refresh’ for sore muscles.
Shampoo bars are some of the most exciting products Lush offers. They’re little bars that you simply rub over your head and they make suds. They can outlast bottles of shampoo since you don’t need much to clean your scalp. According to Lush, one bar will last 80 shampoos. There are plenty of scents, meaning your hair can smell like Godiva chocolate or Roses. You decide.
Lush’s facial products are our favorites. They go down in history as being some of the most effective, yet gentle, soaps and scrubs or moisturizers. They even have different facial products for different skin maladies, like acne or clogged pores. Using blends of herbs, clay, essential oils, and fruits, the facial cleansers help you get the best skin. “Dark Angel”, a facial and body cleanser, helps brighten dull skin and lessen oily skin.
Massage bars have been around for a while, but Lush has a new take on them. You can use them for a calming, lavendar scented back rub, or you can use the sore muscle rub to help roll out aches and pains. Some are even warming, helping to soothe your body.
Lush’s shaving creams are also ace. They’re fragrant, well blended, and creamy enough that you can say goodbye to razor burn forever. You’re welcome.
Other body products include lotions, butters, shaving creams, hand and foot care, as well as deodorants and dusting powders. Dusting powders will be your new best friends this summer. Think of them as the replacement for baby powder.
We could talk about perfume all day long. Inspired by “Art and poetry and culture”, the perfumes are made to inebriate the senses. You can’t go wrong with their perfume sprays, solids, or roll ons.
We’ll follow up as soon as we test out their makeup. Which Lush products have you tried? If you haven’t tried any… what will you pick up?
